Medical Transcriptionist/Records Coordinator!
Responsible to:
A.Transcribe operative reports and H&Ps for a multispecialty outpatient surgical center transcribing surgical procedures including but not limited to septoturbinoplasty, myringotomy and tubes,adenotonsillectomy,shoulder and knee arthroscopy, bunionectomy, tubal ligation, breast augmentation and pain blocks.
B.Assist doctors in use of dication equipment.
C.Perform clerical duties maintaining patient medical records in accordance with established procedures/regulations which included examining patient medical records for completeness ensuring all required information was included; noted any deficiencies and referred
to appropriate area for follow-up.
D.Assist in retrieval and filing of medical records. Release patient information to requesting parties following established confidentiality procedures. Orient new personnel
and train employees in processes/procedures as require in performing tasks.
