Medical Assistant Externship

Job Descriptions:
Assist in the examination and treatment of patients.
Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height.
Perform capillary sticks.
Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Record information on charts.
Perform EKG's as needed.
Take Urinalysis on all patients.
Assist Physician with Pap-smears.
Drape patients with covering and positioned instruments and equipment.
Answer phones and scheduled appointments.
Pull and file medical records.
